BioElaine was from one of the Jowston city states originally, it’s unlikely anyone will be told that, let alone which one it was. She had a fairly normal childhood, she was an only child and drove her mom crazy alternating between being “so boyish” and playing with her makeup. She always preferred to play the more rough sports and in them ended up beating up the boys, especially during that fun time at around 10 when she was a lot bigger. She enjoyed fighting, but even though she could beat most of boys who later became soldiers up, being a girl she couldn’t join the military. That’s where a lot of her desire for the power play of the genders comes from.
The unification war started when she was 16. She watched most of her town got swept up in the fight. She wanted to help out, but her gender and age made her options limited, so she decided ‘if they don’t want me, I don’t want them’ and left. This was when her life as a mercenary began. As there was a war going on, there were a lot of bands nearby and some of them thought that a lone teenage girl would be a good target in the interim. However, Elaine was able to fend for herself quite well and even honed her skill of dazzling with beauty (read: low cut shirt) and then striking.
As she made her way north she finally found her match in the Harmonian Southern Frontier Defense Force. She bounced around from unit to unit while she got her bearings, but ended up finding a home with the 14th. There were lots of rumors flying around about her and Duke, some of them were true, most were blown out of proportion. Though she and Duke have been involved romantically, and he’s the only one she would even consider using that word to describe it, she doesn’t want to be tied down and so still considers herself single.
More recently, while the 14th was keeping their ears out for rumors about their long time rivals the 12th it came to their attention that Geddoe had left the defense force. This news did not go over well with Duke who was all set to rush to Budehuc and punch him in the face for it, however he and the 14th was ordered by Harmonia to check something out in the opposite direction so he was unable to go. Elaine normally would have gone with him, but her curiosity got the best of her when she also heard in the rumor mill that her ultimate rival Queen was there and had kids. With these two pieces of information she automatically assumed that Geddoe had left the defense force because he was the father. She decided to take a vacation from the defense force in order to check up on her bestest best friend Queen and keep Duke posted on the rumors.
Oh yeah…she and Ace did not date. She taunted, there may have been SOME physical relations over the course of a few days…or weeks, but that is not dating. That’s her story and she’s sticking to it.
